Knocking Noises you hear

Knocking noises coming from the vehicle is a serious sign, especially if it is coming from the engine. This will sound like a metallic ping type noise as you accelerate. If the engine is running low on fuel, or has the wrong type of fuel, this can increase the chance the knocking noise occurs. As it becomes more common, contact us for an appointment as soon as possible. Also be aware for any tapping noises. This can affect the engine if it continues. Make sure to check under the hood to top off the fluids. Running low on oil can lead to issues with the engine and odd noises from under the hood.

Rattling noises you hear will indicate something is loose. It may also mean that something could be lodged or stuck. This may include a rock, or a small piece that needs to be removed. It could also be the exhaust system or suspension. If either has become worn, this noise it common to hear. A roaring noise will also indicate an issue with exhaust system and muffler. If it has become rusted and damaged, the muffler will no longer be able to keep the car quiet. It will also make it hard and difficult to have a conversation with you and your passengers if the muffler goes out. So anytime there is an odd noise, make sure to bring the vehicle in so we can inspect it properly.
