Transmission Service and Repair

When is Transmission Service Necessary?
We inspect your transmission fluid during every full-service oil change. If the fluid is brown, a transmission service is likely needed.

Transmission Fluid Service Includes:

• Removing the transmission pan and old filter, replacing with a new filter

• Cleaning the pan and reinstalling with a new gasket

• Performing a transmission fluid exchange with the correct new fluid

• Adding a transmission fluid conditioner for added protection

• Inspecting lines, hoses, and linkages for issues

• Disposing of old fluid according to EPA standards

Why a Fluid Exchange?
Automatic transmissions hold about 12 quarts of fluid. Changing just the filter and draining the pan only removes 3-5 quarts, leaving old fluid in the system. A fluid exchange replaces all of it, ensuring better performance and longevity. We recommend a fluid exchange with every other filter change.
