Cooling System Service at Parents Autocare

Your vehicle’s cooling system is essential to prevent engine overheating. It’s important to have it inspected regularly, especially if you notice leaks or performance issues.

Signs You Need Cooling System Service:

• Engine Temperature: If the temperature gauge shows your engine is running hotter than normal.

• Leaks: Green, orange, or yellow fluid leaking underneath the vehicle could mean coolant loss.

• Squealing Noise: A squealing noise when engine RPM increases may indicate a loose belt affecting the water pump.

Common Cooling System Components:

• Pressure Cap

• Radiator

• Transmission Cooler

• Water Pump

• Fan

• Thermostat

• Reservoir Tank

• Heater Core

• Rubber Hoses

What We Inspect:

• Radiator for leaks and debris.

• Coolant level and contamination.

• Pressure test radiator cap.

• Cooling fan and fan clutch (if equipped).

• Belts for cracks or wear.

• Hoses for leaks or deterioration.

• Leaks at thermostat housing, intake manifold, engine heads, and freeze plugs.

• Water pump and reservoir tank for leaks.

• Heater core for leaks.
