vacation

As you plan your vacation, remember to get your vehicle ready for the trip as well. Taking a vacation will typically mean long drive on the road. This can produce a lot of wear and tear on a vehicle. It is always best that you bring the vehicle in so we can inspect it. Having a bumper to bumper done will help all the parts to be inspected and checked before you drive. If there is an issue, it can be resolved quickly, and before you take your vacation.

Before the Vacation, check the brakes

When you go on vacation, remember to check the brakes of the vehicle. One part that should be inspected is the brake system. You will always want to make sure that the brakes are reliable when you need to apply them. If you notice that the brake pedal is too hard or too spongy, then there could be an issue with the brake system. We can inspect the brake rotors, brake pads, and the brake fluid for the vehicle. If the fluid has been decreasing on a regular basis, we can also check for any sign of a leak in the system.

Check the Tires

You will also want to check the tires on the vehicle before you plan on leaving for your vacation. If there is any damage, traveling a long distance can decrease the life of them. Check the air pressure so that they can wear and rotate properly. You will also want to check the tread wear of each tire. If the tread is wearing unevenly, the vehicle will be difficult to handle on the road. Having a tire rotation or alignment done can help the tread wear correctly. It will also prolong the life of the tires for your vehicle. Be aware if the vehicle pulls in one direction or the other while you drive. If it pulls one way, the tire could be low on air. So make sure to notice how your vehicle handles.
