Place the dipstick back into the reservoir and pull it out again to get the reading. The oil should be at the line indicated on the dipstick. If it is lower, make sure to add the correct type of oil that the vehicle recommends. If you find that you are adding oil frequently, there could be a leak somewhere. Tires should be carefully inspected regularly
