back to school

When getting ready to go back to school, also remember to take some time to have the vehicle inspected as well. There are several things that you will want to make sure you inspect. When the vehicle has a bumper to bumper inspection, it will be able to be more dependable and safe when you drive on the road. One of the first things to check are the tires on the vehicle. Proper inflation is important so that they can rotate efficiently without issues. At the same time, make sure to check the tread wear of the tires. If the tread is low, you will want to have the tires replaced. With poor tread, you may notice your vehicle has poor handling on the road.

Check the Oil and other fluids

Now is also a good time to top off the fluid levels. This should also mean including the oil. By having clean fluids in the vehicle, you can help the engine run smoothly. With dirty fluids, they can cause damage and costly repairs in the long run. Make sure to follow the recommended oil change schedule. Doing so will help with having the oil clean for your vehicle. You can also check the windshield washer fluid so that the reservoir is topped off as well.

Before you go back to school, check the lights on the vehicle

When you check the fluids, it is also beneficial to check the lights on your vehicle. This will help you see the road in front of you. If an animal or object is on the road, you can see it and react appropriately to it so you avoid an accident. Check the headlights and the taillights of the vehicle. You should test out the lights at home so you can see how they work on bright, dim, and fog lights. Also check the blinkers at this time to ensure the front and back ones work as they should. If the blinkers do not work, make sure to bring the vehicle in as soon as possible.
