Air Pressure

Air pressure can be found in a couple areas. There are two different recommendations you might notice. One is the tire manufacturers recommendation. This is the air pressure amount that you might find on the sidewall of the tire. You may also notice that the vehicle manufacturer has a recommendation for air pressure as well. This can be found on the inside door jamb of the driver’s door. You can also look in the vehicle owner’s manual for the vehicle. This can also help to advise you on how much air should be in the tires for the vehicle. The tires should ideally be inflated to this air pressure when you want to drive your vehicle.

If the tires are poorly inflated, issues can happen quickly. Over inflated tires are more likely to pick up sharp objects on the road. When tires are under inflated, then you will notice that the vehicle is pulling in that direction. The tires may also be more likely to blow out when they are under inflated. Make sure to inspect and test the tires for how much air they have in them. If there is not enough, make sure to fill it with the correct amount as soon as possible.
